Banksy's mural at the bottom of Park Street in Bristol has been vandalised with several splodges of blue paint shot at it.
The damage took place overnight from Monday to Tuesday where it appears a paintball gun has been used to shoot at it.
The Bristolian created the image of a naked lover hanging out of a window, with husband and wife hunting for him, in 2006.
At the time, Bristol City Council held a public vote over whether the mural should be kept - the public spoke and it has remained ever since.
Banksy has recently opened a new exhibition at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery - a short walk from the Park Street mural.
On Tuesday morning, passers by stopped to look at the damage to the mural.
The street art is one of many examples of Banksy's work across Bristol - others include Mild, Mild West in Stoke's Croft.
