Seaside town stops for Keira film

Movie star Keira Knightley spotted in Clevedon

Hollywood movie star Keira Knightley has been shooting scenes for her new film in Clevedon near Bristol.

The star, who is famous for her roles in the likes of Pirates of the Caribbean and Bend It Like Beckham, has been working on a new sci-fi thriller.

The cast and crew of Never Let Me Go will be on location in the town for the next three days.

The production team will also be using the historic Grade 1 listed pier as one of the locations.

Never Let Me Go is a novel by British author Kazuo Ishiguro, which takes place in a dystopian Britain in which human beings are cloned to provide donor organs for transplants.

It was shortlisted for the 2005 Booker Prize, for the 2006 Arthur C Clarke Award and for the 2005 National Book Critics Circle Award.
