BBC Radio Bristol's Drive team spent the week travelling from Bath to Bristol in a canal boat to take in life on the water.
TV weather man Richard Angwin met Ben Prater and Nancy Jackson from the Radio Bristol Drive team along the way - he helpfully opened a lock for Little Plum.
British Waterways Canal Enforcer Jane makes sure people act responsibly on the water and the towpath. She says cyclists in particular need to respect it's not just their right of way along the path.
At Saltford, Ben met up with local champion angler Kevin Gibbs. Anglers and boat owners need to get on and Kevin's happy as long as they don't speed past while he's fishing.
Little Plum co-skipper Pat tries to spend as much time on the narrow boat as possible. She says as soon as she steps aboard on a Friday evening, she feels a huge sense of contentment and it's always hard packing their bags to return to dry land.
"You have to be very patient," says Ben. "Each lock takes an average of 15 minutes to negotiate."
Thursday night saw the crew call in at Beeses Tea Rooms at Broomhiil. They teamed up for a pub quiz and their combined wit and newly-found canal boat knowledge led them to the runner's up spot.
"It's been a great week on the water," says Ben. "I think we all need to slow down from time to time. You see our beautiful countryside from a completely different perspective.
