The campaign helps thousands of children each year

Organisations across Bradford and West Yorkshire are using Children in Need grant money to help young people. Last year £36 million was raised for charity. It is used to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children. Despite the economic conditions, the record breaking 2008 appeal helped more than 700 projects across the UK. In West Yorkshire more than £2,114,037 has been awarded to 30 projects. This year, Friday, 20 November, marks the 30th BBC Children in Need Appeal.
