Make your mark on world history
Bradford 1 Gallery
Bring your object to the event and add it to our digital gallery

A History of the World is a BBC project aiming to build a digital museum that everyone can contribute to.

BBC Radio Leeds has collected ten objects to help get you started, and will be showing them off on Friday 19 February at The Bradford 1 Gallery.

The event not only gives you the chance to see most of these objects, but to upload your own.

There will also be experts on hand, and BBC Radio Leeds' Johnny I'anson and Isma Almas will be hosting the event.

Experts on-hand

View the objects from Bradford & West Yorkshire

You'll be able to see some of the 'top ten' objects but, more importantly, we want you to tell us about your objects and upload them to the BBC's A History of the World website to become part of the digital museum.

All you need to do is bring along a photograph of your object and we can help you add it to the website. It could be a family heirloom which has been handed down through the ages or you might have found something in the garden or maybe you picked up a treasure at a car boot sale.

Whatever it is, as long as you have a story to tell we can add it to the digital museum.

There will also be a representative from Bradford Galleries and Museums talking about how they help people who have found historical objects find out more about them.

And of course, BBC Radio Leeds' Mid Morning show 9am - 12pm will be broadcast live from there.
