Decorated fireplace at Oakwell Hall
The clock is being turned back at Oakwell Hall in Birstall this Christmas to give visitors a taste of what festivities were like in the 17th century.

As the story of Anne Lister, Shibden Hall's most famous resident, heads for our TV screens we find out more about the live and loves of this fascinating 19th century woman.

Twenty years on from the fall of the Berlin Wall, Dominic in Wakefield gets to celebrate in style in an authentic Cold War car - an East German Trabant.
