A teacher and full-time mum, Nikki has always had a keen interest in radio. She gained her initial radio experience in commercial radio and her first broadcasting role was with Galaxy radio in Birmingham.

Outside of her presenter role Nikki has a big passion to work with young people, in her full-time job she works as tutor with young people who don't attend mainstream school.

Nikki's love for gospel music has gained her a commendation at the Andrew Cross Awards in 2000 for her radio show 'Gospel Heat' and a nomination in 2002.

More recently Nikki was recognised by the voting public as the 'Best Presenter for the Midlands and North' at the Oasis Music & Church awards in 2006.

Nikki says: "Gospel is a big part of my life, so being part of the team at BBC WM presenting the show is truly a joy."

A self-confessed football fanatic, Nikki supports both West Bromwich Albion and Arsenal and has played in a women's five-a-side football team.
