Children in Need is approaching, and BBC Berkshire is getting ready to put its best foot forward.

Paint a Pottery Pudsey

Leap Frog Ceramics is hoping to raise at least £1,000 by holding four separate 'Paint a Pottery Pudsey' events at its pottery painting studios in Arborfield and Thatcham. Pudsey will cost £5 of which £2.75 will go the BBC Children in Need appeal.

The events will be held simultaneously at Henry Street Garden Centre in Swallowfield Road, Arborfield and Wyevale Garden Centre in Bath Road, Thatcham on Saturday 14 November and Friday 20 November between 10am and 5pm.

Celebrating the Shadows

A nostalgic concert celebrating the legendary Shadows will be held on Friday 20 November 2009 at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre in Lower Earley, Reading, RG6 4GD.

Four Shadows tribute bands will perform at the concert! Dress up and come along.

The concert will be held from 18.45 to 23.00, although the ticket price includes an afternoon Club session from 15.30 playing to backing tracks.

Sponsored cycle ride

AIG staff will be taking part in a sponsored cycle ride starting at the company offices in Croydon and then riding to its offices in Reading - via the Head Office in the City of London on Friday 20 November.
