Bonfire Night in Chieveley
Celebrate Bonfire Night with Chieveley Fireworks, the popular and traditional village firework event at the Recreation Ground on Thursday 5 November 2009. To mark the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing, this year's competition has a special prize for the best astronaut Guy. Other Guy categories are most creative guy and best traditional guy. Arrive at 18.30 to enter your Guy. Judging will be at 18.45 followed by a torchlight procession of the Guys at 19.00. There will be a local barbecue, with meat from the local farm and rolls from the local bakery as well as a bar selling local beers. Banger for a banger
The Shoulder of Mutton pub in Playhatch is holding a 'banger for a banger' fireworks party on Thursday 5 November 2009. For each member of the family they will supply a free jacket potato and one filling in exchange for one big firework from the whole family. After the display they then serve hot pancakes in aid of the RNLI. There will be a full bar, a warm pub and lots of hot drinks to keep the chills at bay. Woodley firework party
On Friday 6 November 2009 you can enjoy a fantastic display by a professional pyrotechnic at the Rivermead School in Loddon Bridge Road, Woodley. There will also be a barbecue, drinks and glow novelties available. Tickets are available from Parent Teacher Association's of all Woodley primary schools up to Thursday 5 November, or you can pay at the gate on the night. Star fireworks
Come along to St Margaret Clitherow Primary School on Friday 6 November for an evening of spectacular fireworks, created by the company employed by Big Brother and various big concerts around London. The school, in Pembroke, Hanworth in Bracknell, will also offer a barbecue and refreshments. Details: Time: Gates open at 1830, display starts at 1930. Tickets cost £6 for adults, £4 for children and £15 for a family ticket. The family ticket can be either two adults and two children, or one adult and three children, and is only available in advance by calling the school office on 01344 424030.
Cox Green fireworks
Wessex Primary School in Cox Green, Maidenhead, will be holding a firework display in the grounds of the school on Friday 6 November 2009. It is a popular event, enjoyed by both the pupils and their families and friends. It is also an important fundraiser and enables us to provide the school with funds for additional equipment and resources. Details: The display will start at around 19.15 to 19.30 and will last for approximately 20 minutes. The gates open at 18.00 and there will be children's fairground rides and refreshments on site. Entry is £4 per adult and £2 per child.
Firework Fiesta
The Loddon Valley Lions Club are holding their annual Firework Fiesta at Wellington Country Park on Saturday 7 November 2009. This year's show promises to be better than ever with over £7,000 worth of fireworks. Wellington Country Park, in Odiham Road, Riseley, provides a stunning setting with the fireworks launched from an island in the large lake. There will be a funfair, stalls, fairground organs and the Tadley Band. Details: Gates open at 17.00, fireworks at 19:30. Advance tickets cost £6 for adults, £2 for children. Pangbourne Firework Fiesta
Pangbourne Primary School is offering an explosive night out on Saturday 7 November 2009 with its Firework Fiesta. You can enjoy fantastic fireworks, a brilliant bonfire, fabulous fire-eaters, exciting entertainment as well as a barbecue served with West Berkshire beer, mulled wine. There will also be floodlit games, hot drinks and a sweets stall. Advance tickets cost £5 for adults and children aged 12 to 16. Eleven years and under have free entry. Newbury Racecourse fireworks
Newbury Racecourse is hosting West Berkshire's greatest pyrotechnic display on Saturday 7 November 2009. This year's spectacular event, organised by the Lions Club of Newbury, will explode fireworks to the backdrop of the War Of The Worlds theme. There will be special effects to complement the traditional fireworks to bring the music and words to life. As well as a fun fair there will also be a dancing display by the All Stars Theatre Academy and Daphne Bennett School of Dancing before the fireworks start. Details: The display starts at 18.45 in the stage area. Advance tickets cost £4 for adults, £3 for children aged five to 16 and £11 for a family ticket (two adults and two children). On the night, entrance is £5 for everyone over the age of five. Members of Newbury Lions will be selling hot and cold drinks, burgers and hot dogs as well as running the bar.
Firework Spectacular
Set your weekend off with a bang by heading to Wellington College, Crowthorne for its annual Firework Spectacular on Saturday 7 November 2009.
There will be a bonfire and fireworks evening for all the family with refreshments and food stalls, plus an array of novelty lights and headwear for sale. All profits raised on the evening will go towards the College's 150th anniversary charity, Hope & Homes for Children, as well as the charity Round Square. Details: Doors open at 19.00. Foxy's Fireworks Spectacular
Bonfire Night celebrations are set to go off with a bang on Sunday 8 November 2009 when Foxy's Firework Spectacular once again takes place at Edgbarrow Sports Centre, in Grant Road, Crowthorne. As well as the centre's annual firework display - supported by the centre's mascot Foxy - there will also be a bouncy castle, a soft play area, trampolining and go karting for children. The 20 minute firework display will be set to music. Details: Doors open at 17.00 with the display taking place at 18.30. Hungerford Round Table fireworks
The Hungerford Round Table firework display promises to be a cracker at the Hungerford Town football club, Bulpit Lane on Sunday 8 November 2009. There will be a mini funfair as well as hot refreshments. Details: Gates open at 17.30. Tickets on the gate are £3 for adults, £2 for children under 16, children under five go for free and a family ticket (two adults, two children) costs £8.
Fireworks Extravaganza
Blue Mountain Golf and Conference Centre in Binfield has organised an explosive pyrotechnic delight on Sunday 8 November 2009 with its Firework Extravaganza. You will enjoy a fantastic fireworks display, a blazing bonfire as well as a selection of entertainment just for children, such as our children's fun fair. Hot and cold refreshments are available, including beers and mulled wines. A barbecue serving hot dogs, burgers and other stalls with other food offer a warming choice. Details: Gates open at 17.00 with the fireworks and bonfire starting at 18.00. Advance tickets cost £7 for adults and £4 for children aged three to 16. Three years and under have free entry. Legoland fireworks display
Dark forces are set to fall upon Legoland in Windsor this half term unless young adventurers can help Indiana Jones defeat the Mummy's curse and return an artefact to its rightful place. But this is not just any artefact. It's the headpiece of the Staff of Ra, last seen in Indy's very first adventure - Raiders of the Lost Ark. Fans of the Indiana Jones movies can catch an exclusive Indiana Jones audio adventure featuring the voice of actor John Rhys-Davies, who reprises his role of Sallah especially for the Park's biggest event of the year. As dusk falls, you can catch the breath-taking Indy-themed firework display. Details: The nights are on Saturday and Sunday, 24 and 25 October 2009; Friday and Saturday, 30 and 31 October 2009, Sunday 1 November 2009 and Saturday 7 November 2009. Please note that you need to buy a full Legoland entry ticket for entry to the fireworks display. Standard day ticket prices are £37 for adults and £28 for children.
Earley St Peters Fireworks Display
An annual fireworks display will take place in Sol Joel Park, Church Rd in Earley. In addition to a fantastic fireworks display and bonfire, there will be hot food and drinks as well as a small range of novelty items on sale. (All our profits go directly to the school.) Details: Doors will open at 18.00 on Friday 6 November when food and drinks will be available to purchase. The bonfire will be lit at 18.30, with guys made by the school children sent to a fiery end! The display starts at approximately 19.00. Ticket prices are adult, £6 and children, £3. (Discounts available for students on presentation of an NUS, student union or student library card.) Entry via the main park entrance or through the school grounds.
