The Julian Tulk Band bagged themselves two gigs at Glastonbury in 2010
Fresh from performing to music fans at Glastonbury, The Julian Tulk Band are back.
They head to Reading to play at The Oakford Social Club for The BBC Introducing Live night.
The Newbury band intend to bring the same energy to the show that saw them thrill festival goers twice at the event's 40th year anniversary in Somerset recently.
"It was everything and more", they said when describing their experience.
"Those that were there will know what we mean. We were roughing it by sleeping in tents but we were off the beaten track behind the stage and had access to a cheap bar, a shower, a sauna and a plunge pool.
"The great thing was that everything around the area where we were camping was solar powered, even the PA and the lights for the stage."
After the thrill of playing such a huge venue it would seem the four-piece intend on recreating the same vibe and atmosphere for the show in Reading.
"We can't see it differing too much from Glastonbury, we'll try and bring the energy and excitement we had there and re-create a bit of that spirit at The Oakford Social Club on the night," they said.
"We've been trying to get a decent gig in Reading for a while now and can't wait to play the BBC Introducing night and show Reading what we've got.
"We've seen a lot of great gigs there in the past and it's fairly local and accessible to our existing fan base as well, so everyone's a winner."
The Julian Tulk band, consisting of Julian Tulk, William Twomey, Griffin Maggs and Barry Pollock will be appearing at BBC Introducing Live at The Oakford Social Club, Blagrave Street, Reading on Wednesday, 7 July from 8pm and entry is free.
