Audio slideshow: Potts - the hero with the shovel

Hear in his own words below how the late World War I hero Frederick Potts from Reading saved a fellow townsman at Gallipoli in August 1915.

Trooper Potts, of the Berkshire Yeomanry, was the only Reading soldier to be awarded the Victoria Cross for his heroic actions.

He received Britain's highest award for gallantry for helping the badly wounded Arthur Andrews to safety despite heavy enemy fire and having been shot in the thigh.
