South Africa rugby victory
South Africa have beaten Argentina in the second rugby World Cup semi-final, thirty seven points to thirteen and will play England in the final this Saturday.
Alisdair Sandford reports from Paris.
They caused an upset in the first game of the tournament by beating the host nation France. But this time, the World Cup dark horses, Argentina, met their match. The favourites, South Africa, were too strong, scoring three first-half tries to build a convincing lead.
A brief second half revival wasn't enough for Argentina. A lack of discipline cost them dearly later on and South Africa's victory by thirty seven points to thirteen was thoroughly deserved.
Argentina have surprised and delighted many at this World Cup and have well and truly confirmed their status as a major rugby as well as a footballing nation.
But it's the 1995 world champions South Africa who will meet the current title holders, England, in next week's final.
