Blue Flag beaches 2001

Some beaches did not have their Blue Flag awards renewed

Fifty-five UK beaches have been awarded the 2001 European Blue Flag for clean water and sound environmental management.

They are as follows:

East Midlands - no change since 2000

East of England (Seven beaches - two down on last year)

Dovercourt, Essex (new entry)

Felixstowe, South Suffolk

Great Yarmouth Central, Norfolk
