Pressure to stop the bloodshed in Kosovo has led the international community to take direct measures against the Serbians.
Six world powers have reacted to what Serbian Authorities termed an "operation to liquidate the heart of Kosovo terrorism" amongst ethnic Albanians. The Serbian action has lead to dozens of deaths.
The international group has agreed to back an arms embargo against Yugoslavia but Russia remains reluctant to back other sanctions.
Ethnic Albanians in Kosovo are calling for help from NATO, the European Union and the United Nations.
We have already seen in Croatia and Bosnia what brought the "wait and
see" policy. It's an internal problem, but the innocent people have no hope
of peace if somebody other than their repressive and abusive government doesn't step in... Why do the Western states ignore numerous armed attacks of Kosovo separatists upon Serbians who also have children? |
