Branson - risking money and life
What makes a person risk their life for adventure? Richard Branson's attempt to fly around the world in a balloon has failed - again. On this occasion neither he nor his colleagues were hurt. Recent days have seen 3 people die when they attempted to sky-dive over the North Pole.
The British yachtsman Tony Bullimore survived for four days after capsizing his yacht as he attempted to sail on his own around the world. A massive operation was launched to rescue him.
Every winter, mountain rescue teams on put on alert as climbers get into difficulties on the snow capped mountains of Scotland and Wales. Yet people seem to thrive on the adrenalin rush.
It is better to live an adventurous life than to just exist as a passive
observer...
It's easy for people who sit around and bemoan others for risking their life
in the quest for adventure. They should get up, get out and try it for
themselves...
Surely the problem with people risking their lives is the cost to others... |
