Will we ever get rid of racism?

Shocking reports of racism have become more frequent, from the murder of black teenager Stephen Lawrence in the UK, to the white supremacist convicted in the USA after he chained a black man to his pick-up truck and dragged him to his death.

But what is being done about these extreme acts of prejudice?

People have been fighting racism for hundreds of years, but can you really change the way people think?

Do you accept this as part of life, or do you have higher hopes for a multi-cultural society?

Nearly six years after Stephen Lawrence was murdered, his killers still have not been caught. The Metropolitan Police has been accused of "institutional racism" as a result of its bungled investigation of the case.
