Talking Point

Time to forgive and move on?

Days after the release of Kenneth Starr's explosive report, President Clinton's fate still hangs in the balance.

Although American people have been profoundly shocked by contents of the report, opinion polls continue to give Mr Clinton high ratings for doing his job and do not believe he should be forced out of office.

While talk in Washington is turning towards some kind of deal which might save Mr Clinton from impeachment, others say the president has been fatally weakened and can no longer provide effective leadership at home or abroad.

Should Congress carry on with the impeachment process or is it now time for forgiveness?

What do you think?

Clinton: Time to forgive and move on?
