Large parts of this seat are on the outer edge of London and in areas such as Romford and Upminister many people see themselves as being part of Essex rather than the capital.
There is also a tradition of voters backing resident association candidates here in local elections, while in some wards in this seat the population is well over 95% white.
This GLA seat also contains areas such as Ilford, and Hainault.
Parliamentary seats here include: Chingford and Woodford (Con), Hornchurch (Lab), Ilford North (Lab), Ilford South (Lab), part of Leyton and Wanstead (Lab), Romford (Lab), Upminster (Lab).
