This seat can claim Ken Livingstone amongst its MPs. There are strong ethnic communities in the area, which includes large populations of Asians and Afro-Caribbeans as well as one of London's largest Irish communities in Kilburn.
Much of the area to the north of this GLA constituency contains a large number of middle class owner occupiers, with commuter zones and prosperous suburbs.
Both the famous Harrow school and the Edgware hospital can be found here.
Parliamentary seats in this area: Brent North (Lab), Brent South (Lab), Brent East (Lab), Harrow East (Lab) and Harrow West (Lab).
