A Welsh speaker, who gained the final Assembly list seat for the Liberal Democrats in North Wales. She stood in the Conwy constituency, but came fourth behind Gareth Jones (PC).

She sits on the Assembly committee on Post 16 Education and Training, and also on the Standards of Conduct Committee.

She is an English teacher and head of vocational studies at a Welsh-medium secondary school, Ysgol y Creuddyn in Penrhyn Bay.

Her political experience includes being a former member of Colwyn Borough Council and vice-chair of planning at the Wales Joint Education Committee. She is the Lib Dem spokeswoman on 16+ education, the arts, and the Welsh language.

She has been teased in the press for being late for meetings. She ran against Michael German for the leadership of the Welsh Lib Dems, and came fairly close.

In the election campaign she was party spokeswoman on the Welsh economy, environment and transport.

Enjoys birdwatching, travel, walking the dog.
