The second set of mountains might look easier then the Alps but the riders will have been competing for a fortnight when they arrive in the foothills.
The leader's team should be tested to the full here with the supporting riders having to dictate the pace and protect their top man.
If a strong time-triallist leads into Pau then they will be almost unbeatable on the road to Paris.
