Sweden
With the best defensive record in the qualifiers Sweden should be a hard side to beat. But whether they have the firepower to repeat their performance of eight years ago, where they reached the semi-finals, remains to be seen. They conceded one goal in eight qualifiers. At the other end, though, they found the net just ten times. After putting three past Luxembourg, the remaining seven were spread over six wins and a draw.
Recent European Championship record:
Euro 96: did not qualify
Euro 92: semi-finals
Euro 88: did not qualify
