The first ever Test on English soil was played at the Kennington Oval in September 1880, when England beat Australia by five wickets.

And this is the historic venue where the 'Ashes' were born a couple of years after the inaugural Test.

The first match to be played in the 1999 World Cup at the Oval features England's third match against South Africa in a Group A head-to-head.
