Clontarf Cricket Club was founded in 1959 and has recently become the home of Irish cricket.

The ground also backs onto Clontarf's rugby ground and the two teams share the pavilion which backs onto both pitches.

The ground, which will be filled with temporary seating for the World Cup, has played host to the West Indies on a number of occasions and is the venue which saw the Irish cricket team beat Middlesex in 1997.

The only match which will be played at the Clontarf ground sees the Windies take on Bangladesh .
