The St Lawrence Ground (Canterbury)

City: Canterbury
Club: Kent
Capacity: 15,000

The St Lawrence Ground, which is the home of Kent CCC, has increased its capacity by 5000 for the Cricket World Cup.

One of the most famous grounds in the country, Canterbury owes much of its notoriety to the fact that a tree stands on the field of play.

The ground was established in 1847 and when the cameras visit the ground in May the commentators will often refer to the famous Pavilion and Nackington Road Ends, from which some of Kent's greatest bowlers have taken apart many unsuspecting batsman.

The only game to be played in Canterbury will see England take on the big hitting Kenyans.
