1105 - 1115 BST
The first stage of the day's events saw the Buckingham Palace detachment of the Queen's Guards take position at Westminster Hall, the destination for the Queen Mother's coffin. At 11.10am, the various detachments of the procession formed up near to St James's Palace. At the same time, the gun carriage to carry the coffin arrived outside the entrance to the Queen's Chapel. Irish guards forming the bearer party entered the Queen's Chapel to receive the Queen Mother's coffin.
