Outside of entertainment Bob Hope's chief pleasure and main interest was golf. The Bob Hope Classic golf tournament became an institution raising large sums of money for charity. Hope continued to play a few holes each day well into his 90s. And to the end he remained a joker. Late on in life he quipped: "Age doesn't mean anything - it's what's inside that counts. Fortunately I have a much younger man in there holding me up."
