Reported Strikes
Ten civilians were killed in US air strikes on the outskirts of Kabul on Sunday, one day after an unconfirmed number of civilians died in the heaviest air offensive so far, when US bombs landed on three villages near the front line north of Kabul.

Sunday's bomb hit a residential area of Kabul, near a hill on which there is an anti-aircraft gun. Victims included eight members of a family who were reportedly eating breakfast.

Washington has not yet commented about the apparent mistakes.

The Afghan Islamic Press news agency reported that US warplanes had also attacked the strategic northern town of Mazar-e-Sharif on Sunday, at the beginning of the fourth week of US bombing.
