Reported Strikes
Two large explosions were reported in the capital Kabul on Friday as fresh raids ended a lull following overnight bombing. US planes also attacked targets in Kandahar and Jalalabad.

The Pentagon said that F-15E Strike Eagle aircraft operating from an undisclosed Gulf country were also used for the first time, attacking Taleban positions around the strategic city of Mazar-e-Sharif.
