Reported Strikes
US heavy bombing by B-52 planes continue north of the capital, Kabul, and near Afghanistan's border with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Sunday saw a massive intensification of the bombing against the Taleban positions.

After a few days of relative quiet, Kabul itself came under attack. Reports suggest that Taleban fighters were killed in an attack on a hotel being used as a base.

The Pakistan-based Afghan Islamic Press reported that US planes attacked targets at Herat airport and Kandahar. The agency reports that two civilians were killed in Herat and six in Keshendeh, 60 kilometres north of Mazar-e-Sharif.
