Fleeing Srebrenica
The break-up of Yugoslavia in 1991 led to Europe's largest refugee crisis since World War II . These people are among 40,000 who fled Srebrenica in 1995. They were the lucky ones: a further 7,000 people were slaughtered in the so-called "safe haven", while the UNHCR found itself powerless to act.
