Guide to events in London

 Tubes and transport
During the jubilee festivities large parts of central London will be subject to traffic restrictions and road closures, so travelling by car is not advised.

London Underground warns that in order to safely manage the crowds a number of stations in central London may have restricted access on Monday and Tuesday.

The Tube stayed open all night
The main stations that are likely to be affected are Victoria, Embankment, Charing Cross, Waterloo, Waterloo East, London Bridge, Green Park, Hyde Park Corner, Marble Arch and Westminster.

These stations are best avoided if possible. At certain times during Tuesday Charing Cross rail station will be closed and services diverted to other mainline stations.

London Underground advises those wishing to take part in the celebrations to carry a street map and to walk to or from stations outside the central festival area.

However tube operation times will be extended, with trains running all night on Monday 3 June.
