Ever wondered who takes care of the flowers given to the Queen? Student Gavin Owen, 21, from Luton, can tell us.
"I didn't so much meet the Queen as have the opportunity to serve her.
"During my late teens I was a volunteer police cadet with the Bedfordshire police.
"The Queen and Prince Phillip came to Luton to open the new airport terminal and visit other areas of the town, in November 1999.
"I arranged for the cadets to be put on duty for the day.
"The result was spending much of the day walking along just behind the Queen to collect any excess flowers she couldn't carry.
"Whilst she didn't speak to us directly I was impressed by her genuine interest in members of the crowd and noticed that she had very good skin.
"I have no specific plans for the Golden Jubilee."
