![]() ![]() After an initial period described as “troubled” by the Chief Inspector of Prisons, HMP Parc seems to have settled down. The new staff taken on in 1997 are now more experienced, and the untried technology adopted by Securicor has now been developed. In his report last year, Sir David Ramsbotham said the prison had a “progressive and stable culture” and it was a pleasure to be able to record progress made as a result of hard work by the Director and staff. There was much to commend. The Education Department had done admirable work, and there had been co-ordination of suicide prevention, anti-bullying and race relations strategies. |
