The disease spreads Forty sheep from Prestwick farm are sent to Hexham market, Northumberland, where they are bought by Devon farmer Willy Cleave on 13 February. The consignment is transferred to Longtown Market, Carlisle, and held before being shipped to Mr Cleave’s Burdon farm in Highampton, Devon. The cattle there develop foot-and-mouth. |
