QUEEN'S ROBING ROOM
The Robing Room is used only on the day of the state opening of Parliament. The Queen uses the room to don the state robes and imperial state crown, helped by ladies-in-waiting. The room is magnificent, with an impressive gilded ceiling (b), an imposing fireplace (c) and ornate decoration, including Queen Victoria's monogram. A wooden model of the Houses of Parliament, complete with a braille guide to its layout, is kept in this room (d).
