PRINCE'S CHAMBER

As visitors move on through the palace, heading northwards parallel to the River Thames, they pass into the Prince's Chamber, a relatively small, but nonetheless impressive ante-room to the Lords' chamber.

A casual visitor may not notice the crests of Henry VIII and his wives stained on the windows, but could not fail to admire their gilded portraits, together with those of Elizabeth I and Tudor courtiers. They were painted by students of the Royal School of Art in South Kensington in the 1850s.
