Self Portrait seeks to celebrate the British, their attitudes and tastes. You can see the outside of the zone on the Home Planet film. Here you see the zone’s central exhibit, a sculpture by cartoonist Gerald Scarfe. Dome chief executive PY Gerbeau says "it mirrors what we like - and what we don't - about our nation". But art critic David Lee says that it is symptomatic of the Dome’s failure to inspire through art. |
