Two UK explorers plan to fly a balloon to 132,000 ft (40,000 m) – higher than any manned envelope has gone before. Andy Elson and Colin Prescot are waiting for the right weather window in August or September so they can safely launch QinetiQ 1 from a ship off southwest England.
