		Soldiers enter the Bogside Paratroopers commanded by Colonel Wilford, advanced into the Bogside, the Catholic area of the city, in an effort to disperse the anti-internment parade and arrest trouble-makers. They say they were fired upon as they tried to ‘scoop-up’ rioters. Col Wilford: “I personally had shots fired at me”.
