A year after Nato's three-month air offensive in Serbia, BBC News Online reassessed the situation in Kosovo. After a 78-day campaign, Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic agreed on 10 June 1999 to withdraw 40,000 Yugoslav and Serb troops from the province, leaving the way clear for international peacekeepers to move in.
