Ozzy Osbourne's travelling rock circus took over the traditional heavy metal venue of Donington Park for a day.
He played to 60,000 people on the main stage, along with younger acts like Tool, System of A Down, and hotly-tipped band Lostprophets.
Hundred Reasons headlined the Radio 1/Kerrang! Stage, supported by Il Nino, American Head Charge and Hell Is For Heroes.
As for Osbourne himself, he had to pull out of the following day's Irish Ozzfest in Dublin after being taken ill on stage at Donington. Strong winds had got the better of the Black Sabbath veteran.
