Brackley, Northants, 22 June

Live sets from Chemical Brothers and Groove Armada led the bill at the one of the biggest dance festivals of the year.

The Summer Soundsystem featured 35,000 people enjoying sounds from a host of top DJs over 10 different stages.

Sets from Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Danny Tenaglia, Pete Tong, John Digweed and Sasha were the highlights, with Tenaglia providing a seven-hour set.

Sheffield's Gatecrasher has become one of the biggest and most-respected club names in the world - work is starting now on its Australian summer party, taking place in December.
