Old Liverpool Airport
24 August

The Scouse superclub's fifth festival returned to the Mersey city's old Speke airfield with Faithless, Underworld and Mis-Teeq putting in appearances.

Kosheen, Lemon Jelly and Stanton Warriors also played, while DJ sets came from Sasha, Deep Dish, Pete Tong and Dave Clarke.

Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, DJ Shadow, and Danny Rampling will also appeared this year.

Despite the festival's success, the event was held under a cloud - Cream, the club which founded the festival, closed the doors on its city centre venue in July after months of falling attendance figures. While dance festivals are booming, the superclubs which founded them are in trouble.
