Link to Enron: Mr Lindsey is a former director on Enron’s board.

In October 2001, he led a White House study into the economic consequences of Enron collapsing.

According to US press reports, this took a rosy view of Enron’s situation just before it declared bankruptcy.

Mr Lindsey is the leading advocate of tax cuts in the Bush administration and a former member of the right-wing Heritage Foundation think tank.
