A number of international sporting events take place every four years.

The Olympic Games and the football World Cup are two of the most famous of thesetournaments in the world.

There is another international sporting event that takes place every four years.

It started in 1981 and it is called the World Games!

This year it will take place in Taiwan.

The sports in the world games are slightly different from the sports that many people are used to watching or playing!

Unusual sports like artistic roller skating and barefoot skiing will take place along with dance sport which is a mixture of dancing and gymnastics.

Even though not many people might have heard of these games, Taiwan has spent over 225 million dollars on them, with a lot of that money spent on building a solar-powered stadium.

They have also proven to be quite popular too, as all of the 350'000 tickets to watch the games have been sold out.
