One of the exhibits on the train

Hello and welcome to BBC Xtra English!

A moving science exhibition called the science train is travelling around Germany to try and encourage young people to study science at University.

It will visit over sixty German cities in the next year.

The train is made up of twelve carriages that are full of exciting exhibits to show visitors.

They include bionic hands and robots as well as some of the latest German technology and inventions.

Bendy solar panels and plans for multi-storey farms where crops can be grown on skyscrapers will be shown to visitors.

The train has no conductors but instead it has tour guides who will show visitors around the twelve carriages and explain to them the different exhibits and how they work.

It is hoped that the exhibition will show young people how interesting science really is, as many are put off science by stereotypes that show scientists as boring and always studying.

What do young people think of science in your country? Would the science train work there? Write to us in English!
