Today Doug and Reda talk about an exciting exhibition that has been taking place for the past 24 years.

The New Designers exhibition brings new designers and their work together so that visitors, businesses and government can find out what Britain's young designers are capable of producing.

The exhibition features innovative products for the home such as a paving slab that generates electricity whenever someone steps on it.

The idea behind this design is to make a product that is environmentally friendly.

Another product is a special flip flop insole for ladies high heels.

A lady wearing these insoles would just take her high heels off and walk around with flip flops on her feet!

The designers are important to the British economy; the products they design can be sold later on, creating jobs and injecting money into the economy.

The exhibition also shows young people interested in design what designers can do, and the innovative designs they are able to produce.
