Welcome to BBCe! And today's programme is all about having fun and celebrating; it's the birthday special برنامج خاص بأعياد الميلاد!

We're talking about birthdays today. We're asking people: What's the best birthday party you've ever had or been to ما أفضل حفل عيد ميلاد حضرته او اقمته?

Here are some of the answers we got:

• The best party I've ever been was a friend's 21st birthday where they just got a big marquee خيمة, a party and a band!

• I went away surfing for a week - it was amazing!

• I can remember a very specific one of going to the cinema - it wasn't anything particularly extravagant شديد البذخ.

• My friends gave me a surprise party حفل مفاجئ.

• We had beautiful cakes and we had fun and laughed a lot and it was a beautiful day.

• It was a birthday party of one of my friends.

Karim and Abigail talk about some phrases to do with relaxing and enjoying yourself.

A common expression is: have a good time اتمنى لك وقتاً ممتعاً.

Or a very informal way of encouraging someone to relax is the phrase chill out or chill ارتاح! You might hear someone say:
"I'm just going to chill out this weekend."
