Welcome to
BBC Xtra English.
Today Doug and Nouran talk about left-handed people.
A new report by Abertay University says that left-handed people are more likely to get anxious or feel shy about doing or saying what they want.
The report found that left-handed people are more inhibited, particularly in new or unusual situations.
The test gave a number of left-handed people a behavioural test which measured their personal restraint and impulsiveness.
A number of the left-handed people involved in the study also said that they responded badly to criticism.
The researcher who led this study said that this could be down to the wiring differences in the brain.
She said that in left handed people, the right half of the brain is dominant, and this side controls negative emotional traits.
However, with right handed people, their left side of the brain is dominant.
But one of our colleagues here doesn't agree. He is left-handed and reminded us that many of the world's geniuses were also left handed.
Some of the most famous US presidents were also left-handed such as Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George Bush Senior and Bill Clinton.
Even Barack Obama and John Mcain are left-handed.
